The flat die is fixed inside the die-turned diesel pellet mill. When making biomass pellets, the die of the die-turned diesel pellet mill rotates, while the rollers are stationary. As the die rotates, it distributes the raw material evenly to be compressed by the rollers into the holes in the flat die to form pellets.

Roller-turned Diesel Pellet Mill

The roller-turned diesel pellet mill consists of clutch assembly, gear box, main spindle box, roller, die, upper body, feeder, diesel engine and base. It has a series of rotating rollers and a stationary die. When making pellets, the rollers are rotating while the die is stationary. The great force between the rollers and the flat die presses the raw material into the holes in the die to form pellets.
The final pellet made by roller-turned diesel pellet mill has higher density and smoother surface compared with that made by the die-turned pellet mill.
